Mastery Class - Joy
Joy is just what you’ll feel when joining Kristin for this brand
new class. Learn how to applique using Kristin’s best hints
for invisible stitches with flawless results! We’ll make bias
tube vines, then turn to perfect leaf points,
round sassy berries, and smooth curves. Make
all four for a handsome 4-block quilt, or use just
one for the stunning center of a medallion. You
will leave class filled with information and
inspiration!

Applique Confidence - Garden Baskets
Stitch this stunning 10” x 34” basket block, fresh from
Kristin’s Garden Basket quilt pattern. Methods for
making bias tube vines and stitching very narrow leaf
points are demonstrated.  Techniques for conquering
inside curves, maintaining smooth outside curves, and
impeccable stitching tips are stressed.  Individual help
for color decisions is gladly provided. Pattern for
complete quilt is available.

Improve Your Applique Stitch - Bless Us All
A handsome basket holds easy to stitch blooms and
berries in Kristin’s patriotic design.  Tools and
techniques for basic appliqué are discussed.  Each
student receives personal attention as she learns to
stitch smooth curves, sharp points, round berries and
narrow vines on this 20-inch block. Beginning students
get off to the right start while more advanced stitchers
benefit from Kristin’s best tips for exquisite appliqué.

Perfecting Points, Curves and Reverse Applique
Empty Nest
I am so excited to offer this action packed workshop to you applique lovers. We’ll stitch my whimsical design, EMPTY NEST…a 34” x 38” wall hanging complete with Carolina Wrens, free flowering blooms, and of course a little empty nest. The emphasis will be on perfecting your stitching skills – invisible stitches,
sharp perfect points, smooth inside curves, lump-less circles and berries! We’ll learn how to make bias tubes and even try some reverse applique.  A very comprehensive class, yet the project is small enough TO FINISH!!! Can’t wait to see you for a day guaranteed to fill you up with friendship and the best applique tips anywhere.

The Art of Flawless Applique - Wisdom Gathered

The Treasures of My Heart - A Very Personal Album
Two day class
Using the quilt design from my book, A Southern Album,
we’ll explore the themes of home, friends and family,
uprooting moves and even spiritual growth. Learn to pick traditional block designs for their meaningful names…
Delectable Mountains if you live in the Rockies, or
Ocean Waves for all those beach memories.  I then
show you how to embellish the block with a bit of
appliqué to make it your very own.  This exciting
combination of pieced blocks and appliqué details
offers amazing design possibilities!
We’ll start our adventure with the stunning Fortress
Star - so symbolic of the family, church or community
that “centers” us.  Let me guide you through just a bit
of machine piecing as we stitch this star together
(machines can be shared if necessary).  The appliqué
fun then begins as we surround the star with a lovely
meandering vine.  Learn to stitch smooth curves on
little blooms, vines, and easy yo-yo berries. This information is helpful for any appliqué border or vines.
Intermediate to advanced. 12 hours. Machine sewing and hand appliqué.
